Do not eat for at least two hours or until the anesthesia has worn off
Resume regular brushing and flossing immediately
Avoid hot and cold foods and beverages for a few days to minimize sensitivity
If your gums are sensitive or tender, you may use a pain reliever or rinse with warm salt water (half a teaspoon in eight ounces of water) to relieve discomfort
