Intraoral Cameras

When examining your mouth, Dr. Kenneth Yost may use an intraoral camera. This small, non-invasive imaging device can help us view even the most difficult-to-reach areas of your mouth so that we can check for signs of tooth decay, periodontal disease, cracked or chipped teeth, and other problems.

Intraoral cameras are also used to follow up after a treatment has been completed and to help provide you with more information about your oral health and dental treatments. Photos captured by this device may be sent to specialists or submitted to defined benefit plan companies as needed.

Intraoral cameras are small, pen-shaped devices. They are easily maneuverable and can reach all angles of your mouth without causing discomfort. This allows us to capture high-quality color photos of your teeth and gums so that our dentist can detect problems and prescribe appropriate treatments.

Because the images are projected onto a nearby screen, you will also be able to see exactly what is happening in your mouth and gain a better understanding of your oral health.
