Smile Restoration & Dental Patient Resources in Wilmington, DE

Dr. Yost, and the rest of the Advanced Dental Artistry team, offer an amazing array of dental patient resources. Our objective is to serve our dental patients holistically so they feel heard, understood and can be confident in the treatment they will receive. These are resources not every cosmetic, restorative or family dentist provide and that reality helps explain why so many patients stay with Dr. Yost for years and recommend him so highly. We’ll highlight several of the resources, but you can find all of them here.

Dental Lab:

Having a dental lab in our office is a great advantage for patients. Our dental lab is equipped with the latest technologies, allowing Dr. Yost to provide a hands on approach and personalized detail to some of the art work required during your treatment.  Dr. Yost is capable of doing so to the highest standards due the use of the latest state of the art laboratory equipment, including 3D printing.

Benefits of having a dental lab include:

  • Complete quality control. Dr. Yost does most of his own lab work, ensuring that your final result will provide you with a high-quality, long-term solution for your smile
  • Creating oral appliances and restorations such as  crowns, bridges, dentures, bleaching trays, models, and bite guards in significantly less time
  • Minimizing your treatment time, the time you go without teeth and the wait time between appointments. Most repairs can be done on-site in less than 24 hours
  • The ability to provide most lab work in-house

Post-Operative Care:

Dr. Yost and the ADA team discuss the details of the recommended post-operative care with patients and also provide them written post-op care instructions before they leave our office. Whether you are receiving a simple filling or crown or a more extensive procedure, we are committed to ensuring that you recover properly and can care for your teeth and smile without difficulty.

Educational Videos:

ADA is committed to providing exceptional care and helping each patient understand their oral health and treatment options. We offer two different sources of educational videos to learn more about dental health: the first is our library of videos on topics ranging from oral hygiene to the structure of a tooth and what is involved in a comprehensive dental exam. The second is an even larger collection of informational videos from Spear Education, one of the most respected dental training and education institutions. Dr. Yost completes over 150 hours of continuing education every year, primarily through the Spear Education Program, where he also teaches.

Intraoral Cameras:

Technology is also important for effective treatments. One example Dr. Yost may use is an intraoral camera when examining your mouth. This small, non-invasive, pen-shaped imaging device can help him view even the most difficult-to-reach areas of your mouth to check for signs of tooth decay, periodontal disease, cracked or chipped teeth, and other problems.

Intraoral cameras are also used to follow up after a treatment has been completed and to help provide you with more information about your oral health and dental treatments. Photos captured by this device may be sent to specialists or submitted to defined benefit plan companies as needed. Because the images are projected onto a nearby screen, you will also be able to see exactly what is happening in your mouth and gain a better understanding of your oral health.

Restorative and cosmetic dentistry is a constantly evolving process. Dr. Yost and the ADA team consistently work to stay ahead of the curve so we can provide the best possible dental experience to our patients. Please contact us with any dental issues or concerns and we can schedule an initial consultation.
